C-20 Resolution to Dispose of Building 53 at Orange Park High School

Issue/Rationale

Disposal of School Board owned property requires approval of the School Board by Resolution as defined in F. S. 1013.28. It is recommended that this structure be demolished to eliminate any potential liability with the structure. The building was built as a pump house in 1958 of approximately 35 s.f. and is no longer being used. The Maintenance Department has determined it is not cost effective to renovate this building.

Recommended Action

Approve the Resolution to dispose of Building 53 at Orange Park High School.

Financial Impact

We are exploring options to remove the building at no cost to the District.
